87746154ML110_Orlando_MagicAccording to the Oregonian, the Toronto Raptors are preparing to offer Magic SF Hedo Turkoglu a 5 year deal worth $60 million.

“However, in order for Toronto to clear enough money to sign Turkoglu to the five-year, $60 million deal, it would have to renounce the contracts of Shawn Marion, Anthony Parker, Carlos Delfino, Patrick O’Bryant and Quincy Douby. The team is leery of taking that path, having that same tactic backfire last season when it created room for the arrival of Jermaine O’Neal.”

More power to you Turk. This is a ridiculous amount of money for Hedo. It also being reporting that Rudy Fernandez is “fuming” over Portland’s pursuit of Turk. He is now considering heading back overseas after having to pay part of his own buyout with DKV Joventut just to join the Trail Blazers.

LeBron James met with Rockets Forward Ron Artest on Tuesday night in an attempt to bring Artest to Cleveland. This would be a scary thought for Magic fans. The Cavaliers won 66 games and they could finally add a legitimate Robin to LeBron’s Batman.

Adrian Wojnarowski of yahoo.com says that Ben Gordon has reach an agreement with the Detroit Pistons. The deal is suppose to be worth $55 million over five years. The Pistons have also come to terms with Charlie Villanueva on a 5 year deal believed to be worth around $35 million. You can see the story here.

Marcin Gortat has been called a “Powerball winner” by one Eastern Conference official due to how much money he is going to make this summer after seeing limited action last year. It is going to be nearly impossible for Orlando to retain Gortat even though he is a restricted Free Agent. Marc Stein says that the Mavericks, Pacers, Knicks and Rockets are interested in the Polish Hammer.

Just putting it out there….what about a sign and trade for Anthony Parker for Rudy Fernandez..?

As far as I’m concerned, my interest in Fernandez has just completely waned. What a crybaby. If he would have done ANYTHING in the playoffs last year, we would have moved on and probably wouldn’t be pursuing Turk now. As far as I’m concerned, Fernandez can go join his other crybaby countryman and kiss my Blazer butt.

And if Toronto wants Turk that badly, let him go. I’d rather have Marion or Ariza anyway, and either one would cost less than Turk.
