Dwight on Shaq & Turk; Sheed to Vist Orlando, Millsap Has No Offers

According to NBA analyst David Aldirdge, Rasheed Wallace will be in Orlando visiting the Magic next week.

Boston lead owner Wyc Grousbeck, general manager Danny Ainge, head coach Doc Rivers, Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce all went to Detroit on Thursday to formally present Wallace with an offer for the full mid-level exception. But they left town without Wallace agreeing to a deal. Wallace will visit San Antonio and Orlando next week, according to a source, before making up his mind. Wallace is not likely to visit Cleveland.

In a recent ESPN video interview, Dwight Howard says that he is excited about playing against Shaq and talked about how much better Cleveland has become with him. He pleaded with Turkoglu to come back and says that the Magic need him next year. Dwight needs to be on the phone with guys like Turk and Rasheed Wallace. He’s Orlando’s MVP contender, he’s the Defensive Player of the Year and he’s the face of the franchise. He should be on the phone trying to get any player that the Magic have interest in to play for Orlando. It’s exactly what Kevin Garnett and LeBron James are doing.

Paul Millsap of the Utah Jazz, a restricted Free Agent has not received any offers yet. Millsap averaged 13.5 PPG, 8.6 RPG, & 1 BPG in 76 games, starting 38. Millsap has only been in the league for three years, improving in each season. The 6′8, 250 LB Forward is just 24 years old. He would be a great fit, but he will more than likely be out of the Magic’s price range.

Milllsap’s camp had been seeking a deal starting at more than $10 million, but no such offer was made when the league’s summer shopping market opened late last Tuesday night.
