Turkoglu, Blazers Agree On Deal

Magic fans will miss you Turk
Henry Abbott of Truehoop is reporting that the Portland Trail Blazers have reach an agreement in principle with soon-to-be former Magic Forward Hedo Turkoglu. Turkoglu’s deal is suppose to be worth about $50 million over 5 years. No Free Agent can sign a contract until July 8. Turk met with Nate McMillan on Wednesday in Florida and has been in Portland for the last two days.
This was expected but it is still a big blow to the Magic and their fans. Although I do think that Vince Carter is a better overall player, Turk still had great value as a ball handler and playmaker and will be greatly missed. The Magic need to make a move for a replacement and it looks like that replacement will be Brandon Bass or Rasheed Wallace.
Rip City Project has more on the deal.
The Toronto Raptors are turning their attention from Turkoglu to their own players, Shawn Marion and Carlos Delfino.
