Otis Smith did a masterful job of retooling this team to keep them at the high competitive level they were at last season. I think the Magic will be hard pressed to beat the Celtics/Lakers. Carter did tank games in Toronto to force a trade. Just look at his LAST playoff series he played in vs the Cavs. He was awful....jacked up brick after brick after brick. In the elimination game he showed up with a whopping 11 points in 41 minutes. He'll be THIRTY-THREE early this season. While other teams just tweaked to get better......we did a major overhaul. All that valuable playoff experience to the finals? Much of it gone now. You stated Carter has never even LED his team to a conference finals let alone a finals. The Magic are going to regret this decision. I humbly disagree.
