Media Day 081

I have uploaded over 120 photos from Orlando Magic Media Day. You can find them here.

Tania Ganguli has a report from Orlando’s first practice this morning. Adonal Foyle did not participate and the practice was described as very sloppy.

Stan Van Gundy had a blue notecard covered in red writing which he said were all the mistakes he noted from this morning’s first practice of training camp. Van Gundy conjectured “upwards of 100″ turnovers during the scrimmage in which each player got about 27 minutes of playing time.

See Ganguli’s full report here.

Josh Robbins has an update from Orlando’s second practice that you can find here.

Of everything he saw on Tuesday’s first day of training camp, Coach Stan Van Gundy thought the team’s pick-and-roll defense was the weakest area.

All in all, though, he was happy with his players’ effort.

“Attitude’s been great,” Van Gundy said. “Work ethic’s been great.

“Half the guys are new that are out here, so it’s going to take a little bit of time. I’ve got to hold back a little more than I normally would and not rush stuff. We’ve actually got quite a bit in, but now we’ll let them get comfortable with what we have.”

Here’s another practice report from Eddy Rivera over at The Third Quarter Collapse. He has some pretty good quotes, so check it out. They’ve also put out several updates from media day yesterday.

I’ve got a new college football blog up today. Check it out here.
