The Orlando Magic will take on the Miami Heat at 7:00 PM EST in Amway Arena tonight.

Once again, the game will not be televised. You can hear it locally on WDBO AM 580. Be on the look-out for streams of the game near game time.

Josh Robbins explains that Orlando’s team chemistry is a work in progress.

Perhaps Magic Coach Stan Van Gundy should wear a white lab coat and a pair of protective goggles tonight instead of a suit. Preseason games tend to be a little bit sloppy, especially in early October. Van Gundy predictably saw plenty of room for improvement in Orlando’s 110-105 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Monday.

“We have a long, long, long, long, long way to go,” Van Gundy said. “I thought a lot of guys got into the game and — this is pretty typical — forgot what we were doing. They were just playing for various reasons: wanting to do well, playing hard”

Vince Carter enjoyed said that his Magic debut was a “dream come true.”

SG Vince Carter has been there, dunked that.

But even Carter said he had to pinch himself Monday night when his dream of wearing the blue Magic pinstripes became a reality.

“This was pretty special,” said the eight-time all-star and longtime Isleworth resident after his preseason debut against the Mavericks in Dallas.

“It’s a great feeling to be able to play at your home and wear the uniform — to get it all in one.

“You don’t get that often. You can be home, but maybe you’re not on a good team. Or you’re on a good team, but you wish you were home. When you can get them both at once, it’s spectacular.”
