You can read my Q & A with Nets Are Scorching here. Well click here to see his questions and my answers about both both the Magic and the Nets.

End of 1st quarter: Magic lead 29-24.

  • Vince Carter got cheered during his introduction.
  • Vince exploded to the rim and hammered home a powerful to dunk to give the Magic a 2-0 lead.
  • Carter has 13 points and Howard has 12. Howard also has 11 rebounds.
  • Jameer Nelson picked up 2 early fouls so Jason Williams has seen the majority of the time.

Halftime: Magic lead 50-44

  • It’s been a sloppy first half for the Magic. They are 5-of-14 from the free throw line and have 7 turnovers.
  • Vince Carter has 16 points and 4 assists but went down with an ankle injury. It didn’t look to be serious, he probably just twisted it when he stepped on the foot of an opposing player.
  • Dwight Howard has 12 points and 12 rebounds but is 2-of-9 from the free throw line.
  • Former Net Ryan Anderson has 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting.
  • Jason Williams has 4 points and 7 assists.
  • Former Magic Guard Courtney Lee leads the Nets with 11 points.

Update: Vince Carter has an ankle sprain and his return is questionable. J.J. Redick will start the 3rd quarter.

End of 3rd Quarter: Magic lead 75-62.

  • The Magic played very good defense in the 3rd.
  • Jameer really stepped up his game after Vince went down. He has 9 points and 4 assists.
  • Dwight actually got fouled and went 2-of-2 from the line! He has 18 points and 19 rebounds.
  • Ryan Anderson has 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting.

Final: Magic win 95-85.

  • Dwight Howard finished with 20 points and 22 rebounds.
  • I’ll have a full recap and my thoughts on the game later on.
