The Magic won every game on their three game road trip. Dwight Howard discusses that success on his official blog.
We had a really tough stretch with four games in five nights, and we started it off on the wrong foot by losing to the Heat by one point in the last few seconds. But we really bounced back on the road and came together as a team.
We were down 14 [...]

The Orlando Magic will travel to the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden, to take on the New York Knicks tonight.
Orlando is coming off of their second come-from-behind in a row after beating the Milwaukee Bucks 100-98 on Saturday night.
The Knicks come in reeling. They have lost their last four games and are just 3-13. The Knicks played pretty well in the Pepsi Center against the Nuggets on Friday night, but couldn’t come away with a win, losing 128-125. Carmelo Anthony scored 50 points for the Nuggets. Magic Come from Behind Again to Beat the Bucks

AUTHOR: Andrew Melnick | IN: Orlando Magic | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

The Orlando Magic survived. The Magic trailed by as many as 17 in the second quarter, but fought back, building a lead as big as 10 in the fourth quarter before a Brand Jennings 3-pointer tied the game 2:40 to go. Rashard Lewis hit the final shot of the game, an 11-foot jumper with 44 seconds to go, breaking a tie and giving the Magic a 100-98 win.
Magic Head Coach Stan Van Gundy knows the Bucks present some serious matchup problems for the Magic so the close margin of victory didn’t bother him.
“I’m just happy to get out of here [...]

Orlando’s records with and without starting Point Guard are very similar.
Contrary to what you might think, the numbers suggest that Jameer Nelson’s absence doesn’t make a huge difference.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but with Jameer Nelson, including last year’s run in the NBA playoffs, the Orlando Magic are 45-19.
Without Jameer Nelson?
They’re 43-21 with players like Rafer Alston, Jason Williams and Anthony Johnson filling in the gap.
You can find this story here.
Anthony Johnson had a big game Thursday night.
That extra [...]

The Orlando Magic got a big come-from-behind win last night against the Atlanta Hawks 93-76. You can read my recap and analysis here.
Kelly Dwyer of Yahoo Sports goes behind the box score in Orlando’s victory.
Precious memories. I’ll never forget where I was on the night that the Orlando Magic started playing defense again, and if you weren’t around to see it, the rebirth was quite the show.
After allowing the Hawks to score 51 points in the first half, every member of the Orlando rotation put on a defensive clinic in that second half, overcoming a 12-point deficit to Atlanta on [...]

Magic Turn it Around, Dominate Second Half in Win Over Hawks

AUTHOR: Andrew Melnick | IN: Orlando Magic | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

The Orlando Magic put together their best basketball game of the season, especially in the second half, in defeating the Atlanta Hawks 93-76.
I can’t think of a better way to bounce from a heartbreaking loss to a division rival then to come from behind to beat the first place team in your division, moving back into first place in the process.
The most impressive part of Orlando’s come-from-behind victory was that they had to do it on the second night of back-to-back while the Hawks had four days rest prior to the game.
The Magic struggled throughout the first half and trailed [...]
