Final: Thunder win 102-74.

End of 3rd Quarter: Thunder lead 79-57.

  • Remember how bad the second quarter was? Well, the third was worse.
  • The Magic were just 6-of-15 from the field and 1-of-5 from downtown.
  • Since Orlando had a 33-27 lead, they’ve been out-scored 52-24.
  • Kevin Durant leads all scorers with 21 points but three other players have scored in double figures.
  • Orlando has 12 turnovers and just 10 assists. Oklahoma City has 22 assists and 8 turnovers.
  • Magic Head Coach Stan Van Gundy said that the only way for the Magic to come back is to hold the Thunder under 20 points in the final quarter.
  • Jameer Nelson left the game with an apparent knee injury but has since returned.
  • Dwight Howard continues to get whistled for offensive fouls.

Halftime: Thunder lead 53-44.

  • Not a good quarter for the Magic. The Thunder out-scored them 30-19.
  • Orlando had a 33-27 lead, but it’s been all Thunder since then (26-11).
  • Orlando was 8-of-17 from the field, 0-of-3 from downtown and 3-of-5 from the line.
  • Anthony Johnson spent some time at Shooting Guard.
  • Kevin Durant was hot, scoring 11 points in the quarter. He has 15 for the game.
  • The Thunder were 4-of-6 from downtown in the quarter and at one point hit a 3-pointer on three straight possessions.
  • Orlando’s defense has not been good.
  • Russell Westbrook is not playing good defense on Jameer Nelson. As David Steele said in the broadcast, Westbrook is giving Nelson a lot of room, but Nelson is not taking advantage.
  • Dwight Howard has 15 points and 6 boards. He’s 7-of-11 from the free throw line.
  • The Magic did have two highlight plays. Matt Barnes threw and alley-oop pass to Mickael Pietrus and Jameer Nelson hit Dwight Howard with one.

End of 1st Quarter: Magic lead 25-23

  • Orlando shot just 7-of-17 from the field and 1-of-4 from downtown, but are 10-of-16 from the free throw line.
  • Oklahoma City is 10-of-19 but is just 1-of-2 from the line.
  • J.J. Redick is making some nice plays again – he took a charge and made a nice pass to Brandon Bass for a jumper from the baseline.
  • At one point, Orlando went six straight possessions without a field goal.
  • Dwight Howard leads the Magic with 10 points and 4 rebounds.
  • Jameer Nelson hit a buzzer-beating jumper at the end of the first half to cut the lead back to single-digits.
