Orlando Magic News & Notes: A Frustrating Night

Brian Schmitz has Dwight Howard’s thoughts on Orlando’s loss last night.
“We haven’t had a game like this in a long time. We’d miss shots and guys would hang their heads,” Howard said. “I don’t think we should quit in a game. Seems like, as a team, we shouldn’t quit.”

Howard was very frustrated.
“We’re not going to be perfect every night, and I guess understanding that helps me deal with some of the frustration I’ve been dealing with.”

Let’s take a quick look at Redick’s numbers through the last three games: in a win at New Jersey, the star guard scored 12 points in 29 minutes of action (along with five rebounds and two assists). In a big win at Toronto, Redick poured in 27 points (draining five threes on eight attempts) to go with five assists, six rebounds, and a steal in 45 minutes of playing time. In the latest game, a loss at Detroit, Redick still nailed three three’s and garnered 14 points in 40 minutes.

ORLANDO MAGIC BACKCOURT TO HOST BREAKFAST AT HARBOR HOUSE
**Items collected at the Nov. 6 game for the residents will be distributed**WHO: Magic players, coaches and basketball operation’s wives, girlfriends and family members along with Harbor House residents
WHAT: Orlando Magic Backcourt Breakfast and Supply Distribution
The Backcourt will host a breakfast for the residents of Harbor House. The breakfast was made possible through the generosity of the Backcourt members and the time provided by Sam Snead’s Tavern in Maitland who will cook and serve the food to the residents. The Backcourt collected (toiletries, personal care/hygiene items, paper products and supplies) at the November 6 contest between the Magic vs. Pistons and will distribute all items collected to the residents at the breakfast on Monday.
The Orlando Magic Backcourt was created by the Orlando Magic players, coaches and basketball operation’s wives, girlfriends and family members as a way to give back to the community.
