JAMEER NELSON TO UNDERGO ARTHROSCOPIC KNEE SURGERY
Orlando, FL – Orlando Magic point guard Jameer Nelson will undergo arthroscopic surgery Wednesday morning to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee.
Nelson was injured in the fourth quarter of Monday night’s game vs. Charlotte and underwent an MRI Tuesday morning.
It is estimated that Nelson will be out four-to-six weeks following the procedure.
Nelson had started all 11 games for the Magic, averaging 13.7 ppg. and a team-high 5.5 apg.
The Magic (8-3) return to action Wednesday night by hosting Oklahoma City at Amway Arena (tip-off 7 p.m.)
Update: John Denton spoke to Jameer Nelson about his injury.
“I have no idea how it happened, but I just kept playing on it in the game,’’ Nelson said on Tuesday. “I played through the pain and I didn’t really notice the swelling until after the game. I just thought that I sprained my knee and would deal with it in treatment. But as soon as I woke up (on Tuesday) I knew that it was worse than I thought.’’

Wow. Thank God they signed J-Will.
As a Magic fan, I’m hoping this isn’t a trend with Jameer. Otherwise, Orlando will have to look at other options at a 1A point guard.
Yeah Brian, J-Will should be okay for us for a month or so.
I agree Chris. I really hope this isn’t a trend.
