Otis Smith Not Interested in Adding A Point Guard to the Roster

Despite Jameer Nelson’s injury, HoopsWorld.com’s Steve Kyler and Alex Kennedy are reporting that Magic General Manager Otis Smith has no interest in adding another Point Guard to Orlando’s roster at this time.
Magic GM Otis Smith has downplayed that the club is close with Antonio Daniels, but according to sources has met with Daniels agent twice over the past three days. The word is Daniels camp would agree to a non-guaranteed deal, however Otis seems unwilling to add anyone at this time.

This is not a complete surprise. Jason Williams can get the job done and Anthony Johnson did a solid job as Orlando’s backup Point Guard for almost all of last season.
