Per OrlandoMagic.com, Jameer Nelson is going to undergo arthroscopic surgery Wednesday morning to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee. See the full story here. Nelson is expected to miss four-to-six weeks. Nelson missed 40 regular season games and 19 playoff games in 2009 with a torn labrum. Rashard Lewis returned to the Magic lineup on Monday night and helped Orlando improve their record to 8-3 with a win over the Charlotte Bobcats Monday night. It was the second win over the Bobcats in a week but once again Magic Head Coach Stan Van Gundy was unhappy with his team’s play. “It was a good win to get. The Orlando Magic and the Charlotte Bobcats will meet for the second time in a week. Orlando won their meeting on November 10th 93-81. The Magic have struggled since they defeated the Bobcats, but are still 7-3. The Bobcats, however haven’t won a game since losing to Orlando and have lost their last four games overall. The Magic have had a rough schedule, playing two sets of back to backs and having a game nearly every other day. They haven’t really had a chance to practice. The New Jersey Nets entered Friday night’s game against the Magic without a victory on the season. The Orlando Magic came in having lost two of their last three games. The Nets got off to a hot start and scored the game’s first seven points. Orlando answered with a 9-0 run and finally got the lead for good in the second quarter and won the game 88-72.
