End of Third Quarter: Warriors lead 100-97.

  • The awful defense continues.
  • The Warriors outscored the Magic 36-25 and played some surprisingly good defense in the period.
  • Both Howard and Gortat have 5 fouls while Lewis has 3.
  • Vince Carter is 10-for-10 from the line and leads the Magic with 20 points.
  • Anthony Randolph has been excellent and has matched his career-high with 24 points.
  • C.J. Watson has 15 points while Monta Ellis has 26.
  • Orlando did not hit a 3-pointer in the period and turned it over 5 times. The Warriors did not turn it over in the third quarter.

Halftime: Magic lead 72-64.

  • Wow, the defense has been awful.
  • Jason Williams bruised his elbow and looked to be in a lot of pain but he returned. He has 12 points.
  • Orlando was 8-of-9 from downtown, but have made just 1 of their last 7.
  • Rashard Lewis has 13 points.
  • Lewis, Dwight Howard and Marcin Gortat each have 3 fouls.
  • Anthony Randolph has been a matchup nightmare, scoring 18 points off the bench.
  • Monta Ellis has 15 points.
  • Brandon Bass replaced Rashard Lewis at PF when he exited while Marcin Gortat came in at Center. Ryan Anderson has not played.
  • Orlando is only winning the rebounding battle 17-15.
  • The Magic have been great at the free throw line, going 17-of-18, but Golden State has shot 31 free throws, making 25.
  • The Warriors will start the second half by shooting a free throw because of a Stan Van Gundy technical foul that ended the half.

End of First Quarter: Magic lead 42-33

  • Well, that was an entertaining quarter.
  • The Magic built a 40-24 lead, but Golden State used a 9-0 run to close the gap.
  • The Magic are 11-of-16 from the field while Golden State is 13-of-22, but Orlando has made 6-of-7 3-pointers and 12-of-13 free throws.
  • Orlando made their first six 3-pointers. Rashard Lewis, Jason Williams and Mickael Pietrus have each made two.
  • Dwight Howard and Jason Williams each have a game-high 12 points.
  • Monta Ellis has 11 points for the Warriors.
  • The Magic have 9 assists to 5 turnovers while Golden State has just 5 assists and 7 turnovers.
  • Orlando is playing well on offense, but should get it inside easy more. The Warriors have no answer for Dwight Howard.
  • The Magic really need to turn the defense up – Golden State is scoring at will.
