Per the Orlando Sentinel’s Josh Robbins, who spoke to Vince Carter after the game,  Carter says that the injury he suffered in the fourth quarter of Orlando’s loss to the Chicago Bulls is not serious and that he plans to play on Tuesday night against the Pacers.

Vince Carter says his left-ankle injury looked much worse than it actually is.

In fact, he said he’ll play Tuesday night against the Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis.

“I’m gonna play,” he said. “I’m gonna play. I’m not one for missing games. I’m going to go out there and do everything I need to do. But I’ll be able to play. The good thing about it is I don’t swell.”

Carter just wants to play and says he can’t be concerned with reinjuring his ankle.

“I don’t think that way,” he responded. “I just go play, and if it happens, it happens. As you can see, it can happen at any given time. So, I’m not really concerned about that stuff.”

I like the fact the Carter just wants to get out there and play. He has the right attitude, but he must be careful. The Magic will need a healthy Vince Carter as the season goes on.

Luckily, it sounds like this injury isn’t much to worry about.

Robbins has more on Carter here.
