Per Joshua Robbins Orlando Sentinel, Vince Carter is listed as day-to-day after spraining his left shoulder Friday night against the Wizards.
Carter walked out of the Magic locker room before it opened to reporters. I chased Carter down a hallway and tried to ask him about his injury.
“I’ll talk to you guys tomorrow,” Carter said politely.
So that leaves us guessing whether Carter will play Saturday night when the reeling Magic host the Atlanta Hawks.
Stan Van Gundy said he didn’t know about the severity of Carter’s injury.
The last time Carter could not go, J.J. Redick started in his place.
UPDATE: Josh Robbins reports that Vince Carter will not play in Saturday night’s game against the Hawks.
Orlando Magic shooting guard Vince Carter is not participating in the team’s shootaround right now at Amway Arena and will not play tonight against the Atlanta Hawks because of his sprained left shoulder.
Carter’s status is still considered day-to-day.
Carter injured the shoulder last night in the Magic’s 104-97 loss to the Washington Wizards when he ran into a pick set by Andray Blatche.
J.J. Redick likely will start in Carter’s place.
Redick started in Carter’s place when Carter missed four games earlier this season because of a left-ankle sprain.
