Video: Vince Carter’s Record Breaker
Earlier in the day, Tania Ganguli reported that Vince Carter hit an 85-foot shot while sitting down. Here is the video of that shot via the OrlandoMagic.com: Unfortunately since Guinness was not there, it will probably not be considered the official world record. Vince Carter Breaks Dwight Howard’s World Record
Per Tania Ganguli, Vince Carter just made a shot from 85 feet away while sitting down as he and Dwight Howard each tried to break the world record Howard broke during All-Star Weekend. Carter scores from sitting down from 85 feet (we think)! World record is over. Video pending. #nba #magic Ganguli also has a picture of the even on her twitter account. Another media member has criticized Howard for his lack of a “killer instinct.” This time, it’s Mike Freeman of CBSsportsline.com. He should be the 21st century’s Wilt Chamberlain. No NBA big man has Howard’s athleticism and power. Yet, despite the protestations of Howard’s apologists, he continues to underachieve for a man of such significant physical presence. Howard deserves credit for attempting to diversify his offensive game with more front looks and handsomer jumpers, yet he still doesn’t look drastically different. He might be demanding the ball more but it looks tepid, almost fake, like he’s trying to be something he’s [...]

Vintage Vince Carter
This marks two consecutive games that Carter has gone to basket and thrown down a dunk with authority. This time, it spark Orlando’s third quarter rally and helped lead the team to a come-from-behind victory. Not only did the crowd love how the dunk shifted momentum but they loved the fact that Anderson Varejao was in the middle of the action. Varejao was consistently booed throughout the game.
