John Schuhmann of NBA.com has some high praise for the Magic. But since the break, the Orlando Magic have been the best team in the NBA … by far. The Magic are 14-3 since the break, second only to the Bucks (15-3). But statistically, Orlando has been more dominant than anybody. Orlando Magic @ Atlanta Hawks
The Magic are the NBA’s hottest team, having won 11 of their last 12 games. Before losing to the Milwaukee Bucks 98-95 on Monday night, the Atlanta Hawks had won five of their last six games. The Magic were also in action on Monday night, defeating the 76ers in Philadelphia 109-93. These two teams have played each other three times this season and the Magic have won all three games with relative ease. Orlando’s lowest margin of victory against Atlanta this year is 17.

Keep Shooting, Rashard Lewis
Flash back to last Sunday after Orlando’s loss to the Charlotte Bobcats. Rashard Lewis had just posted his second consecutive three-point game and his third straight game scoring in single digits. Vince Carter offered Lewis some advice. “I just tell him to keep playing,” Carter said. “He’s a proven player that’s done a lot for us and hits big shots so I’m not really worried about him. With him in the game, they still have to cover him because of what he’s done in his career and this year.”

The Orlando Magic defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 109-93 on Monday night to win for the 11th time in their last 12 games. It was Orlando’s 50th win of the season. The Magic made sure of win No. 50 on Monday night with another dynamic offensive performance against the Sixers. It was just two weeks ago that Orlando scored 126 against Philly, and they weren’t very far off that pace on Monday. Magic Take Down 76ers 109-93
The Orlando Magic overcame some early turnover issues and defensive lapses to defeat the Philadelphia 76ers 109-93, earning their 11th victory in their last 12 games and making the Magic 3-0 against the 76ers this season. Elton Brand was dominate early in the game but the Magic slowed him in the second half and he finished with 23 points and 6 rebounds. Rashard Lewis led the Magic with 24 points while Dwight Howard scored 23 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. NBA

Brian Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel is reporting that Mickael Pietrus, who was originally expected to miss Monday night’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers and return against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday, has changed his mind and will play Monday in Philadelphia.
