Earlier this summer during the Orlando Pro Summer League, Magic General Manager Otis Smith and Head Coach Stan Van Gundy made some interesting comments about the Miami Heat. Van Gundy called Chris Bosh Dwyane Wade’s “lap dog” while Smith was asked about James’ decision, prompting him to make the following comments. “Well, he’s already proved he can win on his own,” Smith told the media. “Oops! Here is the official word from the Orlando Magic: The new Amway Center in downtown Orlando met another milestone as the traditional “Royal Flush” was held September 8, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the construction site.  The purpose of the Drano “Royal Flush” event was to observe sanitary sewer flows, water consumption and pressure in and around the arena. Approximately 443 toilets were flushed simultaneously; there are 18 men’s and 19 women’s restrooms in the new Amway Center, compared to just four of each in the old facility. Per Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports, Carmelo Anthony wants to be traded to the Chicago Bulls or New York Knicks before the season starts. Carmelo Anthony(notes) still hopes to persuade the Denver Nuggets to trade him, preferably to either the Chicago Bulls or New York Knicks, an NBA source with knowledge of Anthony’s wishes told Yahoo!
