Here is the official word from the Orlando Magic: MAGIC WAIVE STANLEY ROBINSON Orlando, FL – The Orlando Magic have waived forward Stanley Robinson, President of Basketball Operations/General Manager Otis Smith announced tonight after the Magic’s preseason game vs. Dallas.  Orlando’s roster now stands at 14 players. Selected in the second round (59th overall) of the 2010 NBA Draft by Orlando, Robinson (6’9”, 210, 7/14/88) played in five preseason games with the Magic, averaging 2.0 ppg. and 2.4 rpg. in 8.2 minpg. The Orlando Magic will play host to the Dallas Mavericks Wednesday night in the final preseason home game. The game will be shown locally by Sun Sports and nationally on NBA TV. Tip is set for 7:00. Vince Carter’s defense has been impressing his teammates. Carter has taken a charge in each of Orlando’s past two exhibitions. On Monday night in Atlanta, Carter drew a charge on the Hawks’ Josh Smith. “We’re playing tougher than we were a year ago,” Magic coach Stan Van Gundy said after Orlando routed Atlanta 102-73. “Vince steps in and takes another charge tonight. In what has become the norm, the Orlando Magic dominated the Atlanta Hawks to improve to 6-0 in the 2010 preseason. Not only do the Magic consistently dominate the Hawks (including a clean sweep in the second round of the 2010 playoffs) but they have now won 20 preseason games in a row. October 16, 2010 The Magic extended the most meaningless winning streak in sports tonight to 19 games (preseason wins) with their 105-67 victory over the Chicago Bulls.  The Magic started the game on a 9-0 run spurred by Vince Carter who had 7 of the 9 and finished with a team high 21 points.  The game was never close at any point and the 38 point final margin isn’t even truly telling of the absolute blowout this game was.  Coming off an overtime loss the night before, Chicago was clearly on a mission to rest their starters as Derrick Rose [...]

Magic Head Coach Stan Van Gundy is sorry he rested his starters.
