The Orlando Magic look to win their 10th straight game when take on the New Orleans Hornets Wednesday night. The Magic are coming off a victory over the Dallas Mavericks Saturday night. They used a 28-7 run to start the fourth quarter to put the Mavs away. The Magic are now 25-12 and tied for third with the Chicago Bulls in the Eastern Conference. The Orlando Magic’s nine-game winning streak has other teams in the league taking notice. Other clubs obviously know the Magic have been one of the league’s best teams during the Stan Van Gundy era but now they could be even more dangerous with their new acquisitions. Led by Hedo Turkoglu’s 13-point, 17-assist performance, the Magic were able to overcome a very poor defensive performance and a 16-point first half deficit to defeat the Dallas Mavericks 117-107. The Magic won their eighth straight game Friday night after handily defeating the visiting Houston Rockets by a score of 110-95.  After a huge third quarter by the Magic which included 13 points from Ryan Anderson,  a 17-0 run and a Hedo to Dwight TurkOOP, the refs should have just called the game.  The Rockets players hung their heads and weren’t really willing to put up a fight. The Orlando Magic will be back in action when they play host to the Houston Rockets Friday night in a nationally televised game. Despite a lackluster performance, the Magic extended their season-long winning streak to seven games with a 97-87 win over the Milwaukee Bucks Wednesday night. The Rockets looked like they were back on track after winning seven of eight games but have now lost four of their last five, including three straight. New Defensive Mindset Orlando’s newest perimeter players, Gilbert Arenas and Jason Richardson, have never been known as lock-down defenders.
