The Orlando Magic will attempt to sweep Washington play host to the Wizards in their final game before the All-Star break. Both of these teams are coming off much needed wins. The Magic defeated the two-time defending champion Los Angeles Lakers Sunday, winning for the third time in four games. Magic Take Down the Lakers The Orlando Magic dug down and got a much needed victory over the Los Angeles Lakers Sunday evening. The game marked the first time the Magic beat a team with a record over .500 since they defeated the Dirk Nowitzki-less Dallas Mavericks on January 8. Hope remains! As it turns out, the Magic season is not dead. Just when you think that the Magic are just meddling in mediocrity, they come out and play some of their best basketball of the season and defeat the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers. In front of a new franchise record 19,193 fans the Magic beat the Lakers by a final score of 89-75. Dwight Howard reminded a national TV audience that he does indeed belong in the MVP discussion finishing the game with 31 points, 13 rebounds and 3 big blocks.
