The NBA has cancelled games through November 30 and says there is no way they can play a full season. “It’s not practical, possible or prudent to have a full season now,” added Stern, who previously canceled the first two weeks of the season. Here is Brian Mahoney’s update from the AP: Small groups from both sides resumed talks less than 12 hours after finishing a 15-hour meeting that went until past 3 a.m. Both sides said there was progress on issues related to the salary cap system, though didn’t offer any specifics. They are expected to continue discussing the system Thursday. Union executive director Billy Hunter says they might be in a better position to quantify the progress on specific issues following Thursday’s talks. Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel has the story: “Get them tickets early,” Howard wrote on Twitter. Current Magic players Chris Duhon and Quentin Richardson told the Orlando Sentinel that they will play in the event. Howard also has issued invitations to Shaquille O’Neal, Penny Hardaway and Grant Hill, among others, although it’s unclear whether any of them will participate. The agents for O’Neal and Hill didn’t immediately return messages from the Sentinel. Last week, we heard about NBA superstars heading overseas for a world tour, but rumor had it, Magic Center Dwight Howard was a bit sick of traveling after everything he did with Adidas this summer and would be skipping the tour. It appears that has changed: Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, Dwyane Wade and Kevin Durant will headline the roster of 18 all-star players, sources said. Per the New York Daily News, the NBA is going to cancel at least two more weeks of the regular season: The NBA will be cancelling at least two more weeks of its season, according to a person familiar with the league’s plans. The source told the Daily News that the announcement will be made by the league on Tuesday. With talks broken off between the owners and players, and the two sides far apart on major “system” issues, the cancellations are expected to total at least 102 more games, through Nov. 28. Last week, Dwight Howard wanted suggestions for putting on an old school vs new school Magic game. Now, he’s set a date: Promising festivities akin to “a Magic All-Star weekend,” Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard said over Twitter on Saturday that he’s putting together events for Nov. 11-13 that will include an exhibition game that Sunday at UCF. “Orlando is gonna love what’s about to happen,” Howard wrote.
